Mary Belle Ellis

Mary Belle Ellis, age 77, of Trenton, GA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 30, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Ms. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband Donald Gene Ellis; father and mother Ernest and Dorothy Barton; brothers Oscar and Carl Barton; sisters Othell Blevins, Betty Jo Long, and Reba Sue Avans; brothers-in-law Billy Graham, Ronald Ellis, Lebron Cagle, and Glenn Blevins. Surviving include her daughters Stephanie Ellis, Kelly Ellis, and Cathy (Paul) Patty; grandchildren Lauren (Jarrad) Peace, Justin and Hampton Patty, Alison Potterfield and Briana McLean; great-grandson Maverick Peace; brother Roy (Glenda) Barton; sisters-in-law Shelby Jean Barton, Shirley Barton, Joyce Graham, Doris Ellis, Barbara (Ed) Ramsey, and Pat Cagle; brothers-in-law Alvin Long and Aaron (Katie) Ellis; many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were grandson Hampton Patty; nephews Freddie, Rickey, Brian, Scott Barton, and Tim Ellis; lifelong friend Barry Carter. Honorary Pallbearers were nephews Mike and Steve Graham, Bruce Cagle. A private graveside service with family and friends was held at Lake Hills Cemetery in Trenton, GA on Saturday July 30, 2016. Service was officiated by Michael Turner. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Mary Ellen Locher Breast Center.
