Karen Kay Moreland, 53, of Trenton, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Karen was a 1985 graduate of Ider High School and was employed by Blue Cross-Blue Shield. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church where she taught AWANAS, Sunday School and was loved by many children. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Derrick Moreland; children, Josh (Crysten) Moreland, Warner Robins, GA, and Ashley Moreland, Trenton, GA; parents, Laura & Robert Steele of Deer Head Cove; brother, Robert Steele, Jr; several nieces & nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 25th at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Rev Jonathan Witt officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
