Martha Sue Breedlove

BREEDLOVE, Martha “Sue” (Stewart), age 83, of Trenton, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior early Tuesday morning, October 31, 2023. She was a member of Trenton church of Christ. Sue was born to the late Eula Mae (Blevins) and James Clinton Stewart in Long Island, Alabama, on June 7, 1940. She was a 1959 graduate of Kirkman Technical High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She retired from Trenton Spinning Mill in 2000. Sue was an avid seamstress and made many beautiful quilts for family and friends and donated some of her creations to be used for fundraising in her local community. She loved to travel and managed to visit much of the continental US during her lifetime, enjoying many trips with friends and family alike. She was considered by her family to be a very good cook and they always looked forward to her chicken and dumplings and cornbread dressing at family dinners and special celebrations. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Linda Lula Stewart (Coy) Page; three brothers, Wallace Glenn, William Wayne “Tony” (Martha), and Jerry Dale (Tammie) Stewart, Sr.; and grand-daughter, Alecia Danielle McBryar. Left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 64 years, Charles, their two children, Cindy (Scotty) Dicken and Steve (Lisa) Breedlove, 6 grandchildren: Niki (Matt) Pope, Michael (Nadia) McBryar, Melanie (Jeffrey) Choice, Stephanie (Mike) Ellis, Chandler Dicken, and Cameron (Amy) Dicken; 11 great-grandchildren, Jerome, Zeke, Amelia, Ellie and Charlie McBryar, Jasper, Jude and Katie Pope, Penny and Cordelia Choice, and Max Ellis; several nieces and nephews and many extended family members and friends. Sue’s family would like to say a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Tapestry Hospice and especially to Becky, Michelle, Karen and Ashley for the gentle care, concern and attention they gave to her and the support extended to her family during the preceding 6 months. Funeral services will be held 1 PM EST Thursday November 2, 2023 at Trenton Church of Christ with Minister Ron Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4 PM to 8 PM EST Wednesday at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, GA and 12 PM until service time at Trenton Church of Christ, Trenton, GA.
