Phyllis Ann Fugatt

Phyllis Ann Watkins Fugatt, age 64, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on February 6, 1957, to Charles and Barbara Watkins, Phyllis was raised in San Fernando Valley, California and Signal Mountain, Tennessee. Phyllis was a Pastor’s wife for over 30 years and a longstanding member of the Church of God of Cleveland, Tennessee, and attended Redemption Point Church in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Phyllis absolutely adored people and loved life! She had a vivacious personality and always made those around her feel special. She served fervently alongside her husband in various facets of ministry. She also served as a foster parent for over 7 years and raised over 50 kids in addition to raising her own children and grandchildren. She was unquestionably the most incredible mother, grandmother, wife and friend; always giving of herself to others without expecting anything in return. She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Jean Hawkins Watkins, of Signal Mountain, Tennessee; her father, George Charles Watkins, of Colbert, Washington; her younger brother, Timothy Charles Watkins, of Colbert, Washington; and her infant sister Karen Denise Watkins, of Signal Mountain, Tennessee. Phyllis is survived by her husband Michael Lavoy Fugatt, of Ooltewah, Tennessee; her loving daughters, Courtney Elizabeth Fugatt and Cameron Alexis-Renee Fugatt, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; her step-daughter, Angela Dawn Fugatt, of Fort Mill, South Carolina; her precious grand-children Faith and Stephannie Caston and Michael Porter; her soon-to-be-born grandson, Charles Hendrix Fugatt; and a host of relatives and friends. Please join us at her celebration of life service on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Redemption to the Nations Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with the Reverend Kevin Wallace and Travis Ballinger officiating.
